PRACTICE FOUNDER / CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING INTERN

Therapeutic Values:

safety / curiosity / connection / creativity / growth

Being human can often be painful, lonely, and difficult. As a therapist, I honor the courage and vulnerability that it takes to reach out for support. It is no small task to look at the broken, painful parts of our lives. However, the choice to do so is also a choice to create meaningful change and to find healing.

I believe that therapy should provide a deep sense of safety, allowing you to embrace your therapeutic experience with honesty and authenticity. As a therapist, I utilize curiosity as a passageway to connection. I believe that each individual’s story is sacred and unique, requiring gentle, yet purpose driven dialogue to open the door to healing. While leaning upon my training and clinical skills, I utilize creativity to develop a customized plan to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. Finally, I believe that quality therapy should always result in growth. After all, growth leads to change that allows us to heal, break unhealthy cycles, and discover a richer, more meaningful and purpose-driven life.

“I posses an empathetic, intentional, and warm therapeutic style, placing value on creating a strong connection, trust & rapport with you.”

  • My love for psychology began with a love for story. While the narratives of our individual lives cannot be fully replicated by others, the core story written on all of our hearts remains the same: we are created to know and to be known. In my studies, I have found that wherein too often lies the answer to why we may behave the way we do, what events in our lives have had the most impact on us, and how we view ourselves and those around us.

My work as a therapist begins with becoming aquainted with your life story. Together, we explore how the chapters of your life have been a part of making you who you are. From there, we detangle faulty beliefs that you may have adopted, integrate healthy coping mechanisms, and create new narratives that benefit you moving forward.

My work is primarily focused on trauma recovery, relational health, and bridging the gap between mental health and faith.
